Moving from spreadsheets

Products, prices, accounts and contacts from Excel or CSV, mapped column by column.

Most teams arrive with a few spreadsheets: a product list with costs and prices, a customer list, maybe a list of dealers and their contacts. Zamilo reads them as they are.

What comes across

  • Products and prices: SKU, name, description, category, supplier, cost and up to six price tiers.
  • Accounts and contacts: companies, their group (dealer, clinic, retailer...), addresses and the people you

deal with there.

  • Suppliers and the supplier's own SKU and cost for each product.

How it works

  1. Save the sheet as CSV (or upload the Excel file where the import page offers it).
  2. On Settings -> Import, choose what the file holds and match each column to a Zamilo field. Columns you do

not need are left out.

  1. Run the dry run: Zamilo lists what it would add, what it would change and anything it could not read,

without saving anything.

  1. Import. Each import is kept as a batch, so if a mapping was wrong, one press in Import history undoes it.

Duplicates

When a contact or account looks like one you already have, Zamilo shows the pair and lets you merge them or keep both. Nothing is merged without a person deciding.

Tip: import products before accounts if your accounts carry price books, so the prices have products to point at.

Ready when you are

Zamilo is free while it is in beta. We invite companies in small groups and help each one move in.
