Choosing your apps
Zamilo is four apps that work on their own or together: Inbox & Desk, CRM & Sales, Ship & WMS and Quality (eQMS). With all four on, your workspace is Zamilo One. A new workspace starts with all four; you can keep only the ones your team uses, and add any of them back later.
What is in each app
| App | Pages it adds to the menu |
|---|---|
| Inbox & Desk | Inbox, Calls, and the phone window (RingCentral) |
| CRM & Sales | Leads, Deals, Quotes & orders (with packing slips), Dealer documents |
| Ship & WMS | Packing, Scan, Stock, Purchasing |
| Quality (eQMS) | Complaints, Corrective actions, Risk assessments, Incident reports, Returns, Recalls, Label verification, Quarantine & isolation, Service & repairs |
A few Settings pages belong to one app and appear only with it: Reply templates, Mail rules and Phone (Inbox & Desk); Pipelines, Sales documents, Customer messages and Leads to Shopify (CRM & Sales); Purchasing, Packaging and Shipping (Ship & WMS); and Quality forms (Quality). The Getting started list on the dashboard also leaves out the steps of apps you do not use.
What every app shares
Whichever apps you use, these are always there, and every app works with the same records:
- Accounts, contacts and Customers;
- Products and suppliers;
- Store orders from your connected stores;
- Tasks, Reports and Dashboards;
- Settings: users and roles, mailboxes, integrations, imports, backups and the rest.
Search and Reports cover only the apps you use. Connections you set up keep working whatever the apps: a connected mailbox keeps syncing and QuickBooks keeps being read, so an app you add later starts up to date.
Add an app
You need a role that can change Settings (the built-in administrator role can).
- Open Settings, then Apps under Workspace.
- On the card of the app you want, press Add followed by the app's name. To switch every app on at once, press Use All Four (Zamilo One).
The app's pages appear in the menu straight away, for everyone whose role includes them. If the app was on before, everything it held is still there.
Put an app away
- Open Settings, then Apps.
- On the app's card, press Put Away and confirm.
Putting an app away deletes nothing. Its pages leave the menu for everyone, its automation rules pause (no reminders or tasks about its records), and its records wait, unchanged, until you add the app again. A record of another app that was linked to them keeps the link.
A workspace always keeps at least one app, so the last app's Put Away button cannot be pressed. Each change is written to the audit trail with who made it.
A page of an app you do not use
If someone opens a page of an app your company has put away (from an old bookmark, for example), Zamilo shows what that app adds instead of the page. An administrator sees an Add button there; anyone else is asked to speak to an administrator.
What it costs
During the beta every app is free, so adding one costs nothing. When paid plans arrive, each plan will come as all four apps (Zamilo One) or as a single app, and adding an app will change your plan; we will tell you before anything is charged. See Pricing.
